Today on Friday, October 16th at 7pm, a special virtual reading of 'One Empire, Under God' - Anthony J. Piccione's new full-length drama exploring religious extremism & right-wing populism - will be broadcast via Zoom to monthly patrons on Patreon, as well as selected invited guests. Immediately after the reading, there will be a talkback - moderated by co-producer Jay Michaels - featuring the playwright, director & cast.
On October 16th at 7pm, One Empire, Under God - the new full-length play by Anthony J. Piccione - will be presented as a dramatic reading to an intimate audience online via Zoom, in advance of a full production being planned for when theaters reopen. Following the performance, attendees are invited to stay for a talkback - moderated by co-producer Jay Michaels - featuring the playwright, director & cast of the reading.
July 4 marked the formal launch of an ongoing fundraising effort to bring One Empire, Under God, the new full-length drama by writer/producer Anthony J. Piccione - to the stage in 2021, with an announcement forthcoming for a staged reading this Fall, in advance of a full production.

Queens-based Rude Grooms announced today initial details for the company's second annual free summer production touring parks and art spaces in Astoria and Long Island City: William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, led by actor-manager Montgomery Sutton (Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe) and produced in partnership with Long Island City Artists at the Plaxall Gallery and the Astoria Park Alliance and is made possible (in part) by the Queens Council on the Arts with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
