In April 1999, a six-year-old was allowed to watch the 1997 classic “Titanic” on a VHS after her mom taped it off of HBO. Over the years, she went through various stages of obsession, including watching it every day, memorizing it, and making it a part of her personality – so much so that she created her own version to watch that runs at a mere 1 hour and 45 minutes. This is a shortened, comedic solo reenactment of that version in which one performer plays all the parts and the scenes are selected at random. You'll laugh, you’ll cry, your heart will go on (even though Jack’s does not)!

Created and performed by Alice Fishbein, and directed by Ryan Lind.

Alice Fishbein is a New York writer and comedian who was raised in the aisles of Zabar's. She was trained at Upright Citizens Brigade and can be seen performing comedy all over the city, including on veteran improv team Princess Bleach and as a host of “Mind The Apps,” a character showcase about dating. She premiered this show at The People’s Improv Theater as part of their Solocom Festival in 2023 and recently performed it to a standing-room-only audience at Brooklyn Comedy Collective. You can find all of her content on her website, www.alicefishbein.com, or her social media (Instagram: @afishcalledalice, TikTok: @afishb).
