The Parkside Players will close their ‘24 - ‘25 season with the rarely produced musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s “James and the Giant Peach” featuring music by Justin Paul, lyrics by Benj Pasek and a book by Timothy Allen McDonald. Performances begin on Saturday, May 17th for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 1st at the Parkside Players (103-15 Union Turnpike, Forest Hills, Queens, NY 11375). Under the creative direction of David Thomas Cronin and music direction of Julian Sterling, the 15-member cast will feature Teddy Kai Schneider as James Henry Trotter, Kevin Schwab as Ladahlord, Lillian Salazar as Spiker, Kat Hine as Sponge, Jonas Barranca as Grasshopper, Laura Virginia Pernas as Ladybug, John Galligan as Centipede, Paulina Knaak as Spider, Phoenix Gray as Earthworm alongside Shana Aborn, Angelina Kelly, Hannah Brown, Quent Chiofalo, Ivy Di and Hannah Mariani as the ever-evolving ensemble. The remainder of the Creative and Production team includes Gabrielle Fidis as Executive Producer, Francesco Lojacano as Stage Manager/Props Master, Glenn Rivano as Technical Director/Lighting Designer, Will Frenzel as Set Designer, Susan E. Young as Puppet Master/Co-Producer, Jessica Lausell as Movement Director, Chen Philips as Wig Master, Jonas Barranca as Stunt Coordinator and Tiffany McCue as Co-Producer. James and the Giant Peach will present 8 performances at The Parkside Players on Saturday, May 17th at 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 23rd at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 24th at 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 25th at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31st at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. as well as Sunday, June 1st at 2:00 p.m.
