At a time where Freedom for all seems so far away, join viBe Theater Experience's artists-in residence: Alicia Pilgrim, Geanina "Nina" Riley, Lei'anna Gladden, and Phanésia Pharel for a three day play festival presenting their original work, exploring themes of:
- The death and birth of self to reach pure authenticity and self-love.
- The relationship between time, liminality, and emotional spectrums as we experience grief.
- The collective healing required to alleviate Black rage through ancestral veneration.
- And the disruption of silence, especially for Black Women, and how it can set us all free.
From June 28th-30th, viBe is placing Freedom in the here and now at The Flea Theater (20 Thomas Street, New York, NY 10007) through a range of interactive multi-media theatrical performances and readings.
