When one thinks of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, the idea of whimsy might come to mind. Boisterous, light, airy, an all-around fun and fantastical, frolicking romp.
However.
The play is set in the woods. In the middle of the night. No lights from neighboring towns. And with the juxtaposed, cold Athens court — where Hermia is told to either marry the man her father chose or die — the world of Midsummer is anything but whimsical.
At the same time, the woods could expose your inner desires and fantasies. It may be scary, but it can be fun to play in the dark…
This is the world of SB Theatricals' A Midsummer Night's Dream. Hermia and Lysander have no choice but to run off through the woods to be wed in another town. Little do they know that Helena informs Demetrius — her love interest and Hermia's chosen suitor — and he chases after them, with Helena following. Meanwhile, Queen Titania and King Oberon of the Fairies battle for dominance in the kingdom and in their relationship. Puck goes off to do Oberon's bidding to make sure the lovers have their happily ever after, only for chaos to ensue.
And the Mechanicals are… well… they just want to put on a good show for the Duke and Duchess's wedding.

Helena
Jasmyn is a Bronx-born and raised, MFA-trained actress driven by a love of transformative storytelling and authentic human connection. Her recent credits include Clyde in Clyde’s by Lynn Nottage and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet. She is deeply grateful for the unwavering support of her family and for the love, wisdom, and inspiration of her grandmothers.
James Camacho
Demetrius
James Camacho is an actor and comedian based in NYC. He has appeared on the TV shows, “Law & Order” and “FBI”. He has also appeared in the movie “Before I Go” with Annabella Sciorra and Willie Garson, and just filmed a role in the upcoming film, “She Gets it From Me” with Rachel Zegler and Marisa Tomei. He studied at the Mason Gross School of Arts. But most importantly he has 2 cats that act like dogs.
Brianna Lucille Demmings

Brianna Lucille Demmings is a New York City–based actor dedicated to telling stories that foster empathy and inspire change. She recently earned her MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University. Recent credits include Jonah (Actors Studio Drama School Rep), Extinction (Theatre East/Powerhouse Theatre), and Women in Manhattan (Actors Studio Drama School). Brianna is grateful to everyone who has supported her artistic journey and hopes you enjoy the magic of the evening.

James David Dirck he/him (Puck) is thrilled to be making his Shakespeare debut! Recently, James originated the roles of Ronan in "Query" (TNC) and Peter in "Neverland Never Ends" (NYTF). Other stage credits include the national tour of the TheatreWorks USA/2 Beans Productions "Miss Nelson is Missing" (Adam), the Off-Broadway premieres of "Lili Marlene" (Jacob) at St Luke's and "Captain Filthy Fred" (Bob Warrins, Jr.) at La MaMa.
Molly Felsher
Titania / Hippolyta
Molly Felsher is a New York City based actor, director, and producer originally from South Florida. In 2024, she graduated from the University of Michigan where she received her BFA in Acting. Molly was recently seen in a production of A Comedy of Errors with Shakespeare Sports, The Wolves at Southampton Cultural Center, and an original dance theatre production, PROMETHEUS. BEGINNING. which was presented at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS) in Sibiu, Romania.
Charlotte Flatley
Hermia
Charlotte Flatley (She/Her) is a NY-based actor, clown, improviser and graduate of the Atlantic Acting School Professional Conservatory. Recent theater credits include playing Flute/Mustardseed in Resident Dilletante’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Maggie in Welcome to Our Exorcism by Matthew Moore, Henrietta Iscariot in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis, and #25 in The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe. When she isn’t performing you can find her line dancing at least 3 nights a week or knitting on her couch while watching films on the Criterion Channel.

Johnny Kavanagh is a queer actor, comedian, dungeon master and teaching artists currently pursuing the MFA from the Actors Studio Drama School. Recently they took to the ring for the variety wrestling show “Fight for the Files” and were a finalist in the ‘26 NYC Queer Comedy Festival. Bottom is a dream role for them and they hope you enjoy the hard work of the entire team!
Ervin Melara
Oberon / Theseus
Ervin Melara is a New York based actor with experience across theater, film, and dance. His theater credits include Much Ado About Nothing and Trojan Women, while his screen work includes independent features such as Fair Haven and Five Month Trial. A physically expressive performer, Ervin brings humor, rhythm, and emotional openness to his work. He is thrilled to take the stage, bringing that spirit to Midsummer and sharing in the energy and joy of this production.
Melina Rabin

Melina Rabin is a Brooklyn-based actor and dramaturg. Past projects include Dirty Books (Bated Breath Theatre Co.), Henry IV Pt. 1 (Foul Fiend Theatre Troupe), and Cabaret Echo (Citizen Arts). Melina earned her BFA in Theatre from NYU Tisch, where she also studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She now uses her theater degree to perform children’s puppet shows at Puppetsburg NYC—because silly puppet voices require some pretty advanced training, folks. melinarabin.weebly.com

Emma Rose Brooks
Director
Emma Rose Brooks (she/they) is a NYC-based director and actor. She is the co-founder of SB Theatricals along with Leonard J Santos where they offer a safe space for artists to grow by producing new works and published plays. As a director, she explores the many themes of the human connection while using a minimalist approach to make the text the focalpoint. She has directed a variety of productions at various theaters in New York and in her hometown in Vermont. As an actor, she began working professionally at the age of 15, and has worked at many regional theater companies since including Milwaukee Rep, Northern Stage, and New London Barn Playhouse. Proud AEA member and SDC Member Associate. Emma is directing this play in loving honor of her grandmothers Carol Grant and Harriet Brooks.
Leonard J. Santos
Producer
Leonard J. Santos (he/him) is an NYC–based creative producer, stage manager, and arts administrator whose work centers on supporting early-career artists and developing new theatrical voices. He is the co-founder of SB Theatricals, a theatre company dedicated to empowering creatives through inclusive, flexible spaces for new works and reimagined texts. With S.B. Theatricals, he has produced multiple Off-Off-Broadway plays and developmental readings at venues including The Tank, The Chain Theatre, Open Jar Studios, and the Abrons Arts Center. Leonard also serves as the Managing Director of Amoeba Productions, a nonprofit performing arts organization that supports emerging artists across the New York metropolitan area. Independently, Leonard has served as associate producer on the Off-West End production of Castles with Telos Ensemble. He also was the producer for CHOKE at the 2025 LPAC Rough Draft Festival and Princess Hamlet at The Flea Theater’s Circle Festival. Beyond producing, Leonard works as the Media Lab Administrator and an Adjunct Professor of digital media and technology in NYU’s Department of Media, Culture, and Communication.
