THE POOL to Make NYC Full Run Debut at American Theatre of Actors
Hanging Cow Productions and MT Rosa Productions will stage the intimate, women-led drama on West 54th Street.
MT Rosa Productions and Hanging Cow Productions will present The Pool, an original drama by Jennifer Caress, for its first full New York City run September 29–October 4 at the American Theatre of Actors.
The women-led production returns after receiving the Outstanding Production award at the Back Door to Broadway Festival in April 2026.
Based on a true story, The Pool explores grief, memory and healing in the aftermath of suicide loss, centering on the need for open conversation around an experience often carried in silence.
The play follows Jessica, who did everything she could to convince Phillip to stay alive after she left. Following his death, she clings to his ghost, their memories and the love that continues to haunt her as she struggles to navigate life after the loss.
Through Jessica's experience, The Pool examines what it means to continue living when grief and love become intertwined, and the possibility of finding hope after devastating loss.
Performances will take place Tuesday through Sunday at 7 p.m., with 3 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday and an additional Sunday performance at 6 p.m.
The Pool runs September 29–October 4 at the American Theatre of Actors, 314 W. 54th Street, 2nd Floor. Tickets are $34.
