Soldier X is about a generation that's spent more of their lives at war than at peace. It's a love triangle about a young soldier who comes back from Afghanistan and falls in love with his dead comrade's sister, only to have his military psychologist fall in love with him.

Lark Play Development Center's BareBones Studio is lcoated at 311 West 43rd Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY. Transportation: A, C, & E to 42nd Street/Port Authority; 1, 2, 3, S, & 7 to 42nd Street/ Times Square.

A Studio Retreat gives writers 30 intensive hours over the course of a week to work with actors and a director to focus on the text of their piece. Rewrites are encouraged and at the end of the process the Lark presents two public readings.

Studio Retreats are presented as part of "Thursdays at the Lark" and are supported in part with funds from the New York State Council for the Arts, a state agency, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Axe-Houghton Foundation.
