NT LIVE: LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES to Screen at Symphony Space With Director Q&A
Tony Award-winning director Marianne Elliott leads a Q&A following the screening, starring Lesley Manville and Aidan Turner.
Symphony Space will present a sneak preview screening of the NT Live film of LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES on June 4, followed by a live Q&A with director Marianne Elliott. An additional screening will take place June 26.
The filmed stage production stars BAFTA Award winner Lesley Manville and Aidan Turner in Christopher Hampton’s adaptation of the classic novel. Directed by Marianne Elliott, the production was filmed live at The National Theatre.
Set among wealthy Parisian society, LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES follows a web of manipulation, seduction, and social rivalry in which reputations and relationships are placed at risk.
The June 4 screening and Q&A will take place in the Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space, located at 2537 Broadway in New York City. The June 26 screening will be held in the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre.
Marianne Elliott previously directed productions including ANGELS IN AMERICA, WAR HORSE, and THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME. Lesley Manville is known for her work in PHANTOM THREAD and numerous stage and screen performances, while Turner recently appeared in RIVALS.
