Margaret Copeland will play her final performance in the long-running Off-Broadway comedy smash HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER this Saturday night, August 2nd at Planet Hollywood. She is set to be married three weeks later. As previously reported on Broadway World, Margaret's engagement to Colin Hunter, CEO of Alton Lane Custom Clothing, was announced on stage by her co-star Kevin James Doyle after the April 11th performance. Olivia Petzy will assume Margaret's role(s) on August 8th.

HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER began performances August 22, 2012 at Sofia's Downstairs Theater where the show played to packed houses for more than a year. The production reopened on October 19, 2013 to unanimous rave reviews at the brand new Screening Room Theater at Planet Hollywood Times Square, 1540 Broadway (entrance on 45th Street just east of Broadway).

Written by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER delivers a laugh-filled tour around the greatest city in the world. Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Robert Ross Parker, this "Saturday Night Live" style comedy features a hilarious look at NYC's 400-year history. Immigrants, construction workers, Wall Street bankers, panhandlers, MTA workers, and even cruelly maligned pigeons all get a solid lampooning! It doesn't matter if you were born on the Upper West Side or just took your first terrifying cab ride, you will love learning How to Be a New Yorker.

Olivia Petzy is an actor and improviser in New York City. She studied improv and musical improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade and the Magnet Theater, and regularly performs at the Magnet as a member of Vulcan and The Sing Kids.

The playing schedule for HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER is Fridays at 7 PM and Saturdays at 1:30 & 7 PM. Lunch or dinner is served at each performance with a delicious menu, catered by Buca di Beppo, consisting of House Salad, Spaghetti Marinara, Fettuccini Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana, and Cookies & Brownies. Tickets are $59 (including the full buffet) and are available by calling 212-352-3101 or through www.How2BaNewYorker.com.
