Golden Ticket Productions announces auditions for Eve Ensler's THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, directed by Alana Stephens. Video auditions are being held online (live) by appointment from 3:00-5:00pm on Saturday, February 1. You may also submit a video audition (recording) of your monologue selection by January 31.
We are seeking an intimate ensemble ages 18+ of women (inclusive of both cisgender and transgender women). This is a non-Equity production; no pay. True to the essential nature of the show, this production will be in a staged reading format, however, performers will be encouraged to be off-book as much as possible. This format will be discussed further at rehearsal.
About the Show
THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES is an award-winning play based on V-Day Founder, playwright, performer and activist Eve Ensler’s interviews with more than 200 people with vaginas. With humor and grace the piece celebrates sexuality and autonomy. Through the play, and the liberation of this one word, countless people throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For more than 20 years, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public, and calls upon us to continue to fight for equal rights and legal recognition across the world.

Tech/Final Rehearsal in Naperville:
Saturday, March 14th (6:30-10:00pm)
Performances in Naperville:
Saturday, March 21 – 7:30pm (call time approx. 6:30pm)
Saturday, March 28 – 7:30pm (call time approx. 6:30pm)
Performances will be held at Center Stage Theater, 1665 Quincy Ave., in Naperville. Cast members must be able to attend all rehearsals and performances; please do not audition if you can not attend.

If you are submitting a video recording, all submissions are due by Friday, January 31, 2020. Auditionees will be notified of final casting decisions by February 9th.
