STEVE SILVER’S BEACH BLANKET BABYLON

No previous experience with large hat balancing and wig wearing required;

Producer Jo Schuman Silver has announced auditions for male and female singers for Steve Silver’s Beach Blanket Babylon, the world’s longest running musical revue. Auditions will be held Saturday, September 13 at 2p.m. at Club Fugazi (678 Beach Blanket Babylon Boulevard) in San Francisco. No appointment is necessary.

Singers should be prepared to sing one ballad and one up-tempo number (preferably rock or pop). Comic timing, acting skills and the ability to imitate popular culture icons are a plus. An accompanist will be provided, but auditioners must bring their own sheet music (in their key) along with a current résumé and photo. Singers should bring one copy of a photo and résumé with them on September 13. Beach Blanket Babylon offers competitive salary, benefits package including employer-paid HMO; prescription drug, paid vacation and sick leave plus 401K eligibility after three months.
