Reawakening written and directed by Anthony Fusco of TRIANGLE RAINBOW THEATER NYC is casting for a 60 minute LGBTQ drama. The story is about a young gay man Corey that is trying to heal from a recent attack at the Stonewall Inn. His relationship with Bryan has been on and off for a while. As the two try to overcome their past issues and infidelities, new secrets surface from both men that put their relationship to the test. What influence did Christopher the bartender at the Stonewall Inn have on the young couples relationship? Can the two men move forward and erase the past? Is their relationship worth a second chance?
The play was recently performed at Dixon Place's HOTFEST 2019!. The play received a tremendous standing ovation. The play will be performing 3 more nights at the Summerfest in NYC at the Hudson Guild Theater on October 3rd, 5th, 6th. Tech is scheduled for October 2nd 12:30-5:00pm.
Rehearsals will be held in NYC at Ripley Grier Studios beginning Monday September 9th until September 30th every week from 5:00-7:00pm with an additional one or two rehearsals on a Sunday evening or Tuesday evening.
The role of Corey is being cast:
Corey: 22-26 y/o, trim to toned build, a bold, outspoken character, was flirtatious in the past, but after the attack he is trying to pull it together. He really wants to start over again in his relationship, realizes his mistakes from the past. Must be comfortable in underwear for a brief intimate scene with Bryan.
Also seeking possible replacements for Bryan, Corey's lover & Christopher the flirtatious Bartender.
