Santa Paula Theater Center Holds Auditions for Gina Geonfriddo's RAPTURE, BLISTER, BURN
The Santa Paula Theater Center is auditioning for two roles to complete casting of RAPTURE, BLISTER, BURN by Gina Geonfriddo running April 17-May 24, 2020 on the SPTC Main Stage. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 7-9 and on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 7-9 (callbacks will also be held on this evening). Performances for this play running from April 17-May 24 are on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 and Sunday Matinees at 2:30 pm. This is a Non-Equity production. There is no pay.
After grad school, Catherine and Gwen chose polar opposite paths. Catherine became a rock star academic while Gwen built a home with husband and children. Decades later, each covets the other's life, commencing in a dangerous game of musical chairs-the prize being Gwen's husband. With searing insight and razor wit this play is an unflinching look at gender politics in the wake of 20th century feminist ideals.
This production will be directed by Taylor Kasch. Actors will be asked to do cold readings from the script. No appointments are necessary. Inquiries may be made to the director at

Roles Available: Alice Croll - to play 70s-mother of Catherine, and Avery Willard - age range 19-30, edgy babysitter/student for Gwen and Don's child.
