CASTING BREAKDOWN:

Truman Capote's A CHRISTMAS MEMORY, adapted by Jim Woland
Rehearsals begin October 10, 2012. Production runs November 23-December 15, 2012. Please note the roles of Buddy and Sook have been cast.

Young Buddy and his sprightly cousin Miss Sook make an unlikely family. In this humble autobiographical tale,Capote recalls his impoverished youth in the rural South during the Great Depression and reminds us how important it is to spend time with loved ones, carrying on our own traditions.

SEEKING two actors to play narrators, one male and one female. The male actor (20s) who is the older version of Buddy, the child in the play. He also plays HaHa Jones and other male characters. The female narrator shares the narration duties and will be working with a puppet representing Buddy's dog, Queenie. The male and female narrators might just be two different sides of Capote himself.


August Wilson's JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE

Rehearsals begin December 10, 2012. Production runs February 1-23, 2013. Actors must have daytime availability for student matinees February 13 and 20.

1911, Pittsburgh. Seth Holly's boarding house is full of vibrant characters on the move. They are all African-Americans headed for new work, new freedom and new life in the industrialized North. But every one of them is also searching for a new identity, and the kind of connections that make a person whole again. The second installment in Wilson's majestic Pittsburgh Cycle.

SEEKING 5 African American men (ages 10’s – 60’s,) 5 African American women (ages 10’s – 45’s) and one Caucasian man.
Seth Holly- in his early 50's-60's
Bertha Holly, female 40's-50's
Bynum Walker, male 60’s
Rutherford Selig- Male. The only white character in the play, Selig is a peddler that sells Seth's goods
Jeremy Furlow- male, 20’s. Guitar skills a plus.
Herald Loomis- Male, 30’s
Zonia Loomis- tall and skinny 11-year-old girl
Mattie Campbell- female, 20's
Rueben Mercer- 10 to 14-year-old boy

IN THE NEXT ROOM or the vibrator play by Sarah Ruhl
Rehearsals begin February 26, 2013. Production runs April 12-May 4, 2013. Roles to be cast are 7 men and 2 women:
Nominated for the 2010 Tony for best new play and was a finalist for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize. In a prim Victorian home at the dawn of the age of electricity, a gentleman doctor is obsessed with the marvels of technology and what they can do for his patients. The doctor is not sure exactly how his invention helps the women he treats for "hysteria," but they do keep coming back. His wife Catherine is only a bystander in her husband's world, listening at the door from the next room as he treats his female patients.

SEEKING 4 women and 3 men.

Dr. Givings- A man in his 40s , a specialist in gynecological and hysterical disorders
Catherine Givings- His wife, a woman in her late 20's
Sabrina Daldrey- His patient, a woman in her late 20's or early 30's. Piano-playing a plus.
Annie- A woman in her late 30s. Dr Giving's midwife assistant
Leo Irving- Dr. Givings other patient, an Englishman in his 20s or 30s
Elizabeth- An African-American woman in her 20's or 30's. A wet nurse by default.
Mr. Dalrey- Sabrina Daldrey's husband. A man in his 40's or 50's.
