Audition Date/Time: Sunday, October 21st, 1-4pm.

Nimbus Dance Works is seeking talented student dancers for the leading youth roles in Jersey City Nutcracker. The annual production is in its third year and is one of the most popular performing arts events of the year in Hudson County. Youth dancers selected will have the opportunity to rehearse intensively with Nimbus's Artistic Director Samuel Pott and with professional company dancers and to perform as part of this fully-staged professional production with a cast of over 50 performers.
Male and female student dancers should be 10-16 years of age and should have a background of stage experience and training in dance technique. Candidates must be able to commit to scheduled rehearsals. 2-3 casts of youth will be selected for "Maria" and for "Christopher" roles. Each cast will perform for 2 performances.
Rehearsals: 1 day/week in November 5th - 21st. 3-4 days per week starting November 26th - December 16th.
Performances: Wednesday, December 19th - Sunday, December 23rd.
Cost: $95 (scholarships available).
Note: Students not selected for lead roles may still participate in Jersey City Nutcracker in other sections. Youth roles are available for ages 6 - 18 years.
Student performers in Jersey City Nutcracker must be registered students at The School of Nimbus Dance Works, Jersey City Dance Academy, Next Step Broadway, or other participating dance studio. Additional opportunities to participate in Jersey City Nutcracker are available through Henry Snyder High School, Martin Center for the Arts, and Frank R. Conwell MS#4.
