Synopsis: Inspired by the Paulette Kelly poem, “I Got Flowers Today,” this staged play addresses the impact of domestic violence on the lives of Marisol, a loyal wife and mother; Diana, an inhibited teenager; Tamiko, a lesbian poet; and Kamala, a first-generation immigrant. These four distinctive women have one secret in common—they’re all victims of domestic violence. Their fictional accounts are based on the real-life personal experiences of women and men nationwide. Flowers is a theatrical performance intertwining vignettes, monologues, poetic dialogue and music.

Drama: Two Acts; Characters: 6 women, 2 men; Running Time: 1 hr. 45 min.
