Straz Center for the Performing Arts is holding auditions for the smash musical comedy FIRST DATE.

Where? Jaeb Theater at the Straz Center, 1010 N. WC MacInnes Place, Tampa FL 33602

When? Mon, Dec 8 from 10a-3p, and Tue, Dec 9 from 4p-9p with call backs on Wed, Dec 10, 2014.

Character Breakdown:
30s – Aaron (male lead); attractive, fit
30s – Casey (female lead); very attractive, fit
30s - Man #1 (Jewish Chorus / Gabe (BF / YouTube guy / Edgy British Guy) – Quirky, but generally handsome.
35-45 - Woman #1 (Grandma Ida / Lauren / Facebook lady / Female with Megaphone #2 / Aaron’s Mother); Attractive
30s – Man #2 (Reggie [gay friend] / Aaron’s Future Son / Instagram guy / Edgy Rocker Guy); Attractive
30s – Woman #2 (Jewish Chorus / Allison / Google Girl / Female with Megaphone #1); Attractive
30-50 – Man #3 (Waiter / Casey’s Christian Father / Twitter guy / Friendly Therapist) – Physical looks less important;

Come prepared with the following: 1-minute comedic monologue; 16 bars of an up-tempo song; 16 bars of a ballad, accompanist will be provided.

Please also be prepared to move and do cold-readings from the script.

Actors must be available for rehearsal, afternoons, evenings and weekends, beginning Jan 6.

First Date performance schedule: Feb 3 – Apr 19 / Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun @ 7:30p; Sat, Sun @ 2p
