The Lord Stirling Theater Company will perform Ken Ludwig’s “Treasure Island” in the English Barn Theater at the Farmstead Arts Center, 450 King George Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. “Treasure Island” will open on Friday, October 5, at 7:30PM, with additional performances on October 6 at 7:30PM, October 7 at 2:00PM, October 12 and 13 at 7:30PM, and October 14 at 4:00PM. Tickets are $20 general admission, or $15 for seniors (65 and over), Farmstead Arts members, and students. Tickets may be purchased online at http://farmsteadarts.eventbrite.com or at the door (cash only).
Adapted for the stage by award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig (“Lend Me a Tenor,” “Crazy for You”) from the classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, “Treasure Island” follows the adventures of a boy named Jim Hawkins who comes into possession of a treasure map. At the heart of the story is the relationship between young Jim and the infamous one-legged pirate, Long John Silver. A swashbuckling tale of buccaneers and buried gold, “Treasure Island” is entertainment for audiences of all ages.
