The MTM Players present a compelling adaptation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at Kelsey Theatre, exploring themes of individuality and freedom set against the backdrop of a 1960s psychiatric hospital. The story follows Randle McMurphy, played by Pat Rounds, as he challenges the oppressive Nurse Ratched, portrayed by Deb Lasky, leading to a fierce battle over sanity and conformity. This production promises to deliver a mix of dark comedy and profound commentary, performed by a talented cast including Freddy Perez as Chief Bromden and Cole Kaelin as Billy Bibbit. Directed by Rob Michael Lasky, the play’s examination of power dynamics remains relevant and thought-provoking.
