NJ Premiere of Desperate Measures, talkbacks with creators at Players Guild of Leonia

When the dangerously handsome Johnny Blood’s life is on the line, he must put his fate into the hands of a colorful cast of characters including a mysterious sheriff, an eccentric priest, a narcissistic governor, a saloon girl gone good, and a nun out of the habit. Together, they face uncharted territory as laws are broken and hearts are won. Before the sun sets, will they be able to rise up and pull off the greatest act yet, or will Johnny be left hanging?

TalkBack on Sunday, June 8 with Lyricist Peter Kellogg and Cast following Performance. Peter has two Tony nominations for book and lyrics to a musical of Anna Karenina (composer Dan Levine), which toured in Japan and was broadcast on Japanese Public TV. With David Friedman, he created Desperate Measures which won 2018 Drama Desk Awards for Best Music and Lyrics, and Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.

TalkBack on Saturday, June 14 with David Friedman and Cast following Performance.  David has written songs for everyone from Disney to Diana Ross, conducted and vocal arranged 6 musicals on Broadway and numerous Disney Animated Films (including Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame).
