Lyyra will join the New Jersey Youth Chorus for a concert on April 25 at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown. Directed by Trish Joyce and Joanna Scarangello, the concert will feature Lyyra, a professional six-voice women’s a cappella group known for their diverse repertoire that spans classical to contemporary music. The performance will include pieces from the Middle Ages, works by Hildegard von Bingen and William Byrd, as well as modern favorites like Paul Simon's "Bridge over Troubled Water." Lyyra’s members, Anna Crumley, MaryRuth Miller, Elizabeth Tait, Aryssa Leigh Burrs, Ingrid Johnson, and Cecille Elliott, aim to inspire audiences and redefine women’s choral music.
