They hear that an old lady in nearby York, PA, is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long-lost English relatives, Max and Steve. They resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. It turns out, however, that “Max” and “Steve” are actually “Maxine” and “Stephanie.” They decide to continue with the scam nevertheless, and hilarity ensues. “Ken Ludwig’s Leading Ladies” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. (www.concordtheatricals.com).
