Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy Award winner Darlene Love brings her hits to UCPAC! Come hear classics like Hes a Rebel," The Boy Im Gonna Marry," Wait Til My Bobby Comes Home," and Hes Sure the Boy for Me."The much-loved documentary Twenty Feet From Stardom, which prominently featured Love, among other famous and not-so-famous backup singers, was not only awarded with an Oscar for Best Documentary, but it was also soon followed by a Grammy Award for Best Music Film. Her famous fans include Bette Midler, Little Steven, Bruce Springsteen, and former Late Night host David Letterman, who invited her to appear every December for 29 years prior to his retirement to sing Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). Rolling Stone Magazine calls Love "one of the greatest singers of all time," and that certainly rings true, but perhaps Paul Shaffer says it even more concisely: "Darlene Love is Rock N' Roll!"
