The holiday tradition you love is back—filled with music, magic, and the timeless spirit of generosity. And this year, McCarter is proud to welcome acclaimed actor Cameron Knight in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge.
“Scrooge is a character of Shakespearean magnitude,” says Artistic Director Sarah Rasmussen. “Cameron’s deep sense of humanity and love of language will bring something truly special to this production.”
Cameron Knight is the Head of the Acting program at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. His theater credits include performances at McCarter Theatre, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Texas Shakespeare Festival, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, and the Utah Shakespeare Festival. On screen, his television work includes The Orville, Chicago Med, and Blue Bloods, and his film credits include Widows (directed by Steve McQueen), The World Without You, and Sister Carrie.
Gather your friends and loved ones to experience this timeless classic, brought to life in an immersive celebration of joy and generosity. A Christmas Carol is the perfect way to kick off the season—full of wonder, warmth, and the spirit of togetherness.
