Enjoy this fun-filled program filled with carols and classics that celebrate the sounds of the season. By popular demand, the spirited brass quintet Canadian Brass returns to spread its special brand of lighthearted humor and holiday spirit-fun for the whole family!


Idina Menzel WITH THE NEW JERSEY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Count Basie Theatre Foundation and Concerts East, Inc. are proud to present Broadway powerhouse Idina Menzel-the Tony award-winning Elphaba from internationAl Blockbuster Wicked; original Maureen in the Broadway production of RENT and recent guest star on the Fox hit TV show "Glee"- performing for one night only at Count Basie Theatre with the NJSO. With a diverse repertoire of classic pop, musical theater favorites (including hits from Wicked and RENT) as well as songs from her album "I Stand," Idina Menzel demonstrates why she is one of the great vocal performers of our time. This extraordinary event benefits the Count Basie Theatre Foundation and the continued renovations to the Count Basie Theatre.

Oscar and Golden Globe winner John Williams has written the soundtracks for some of the most defining films of the last 50 years. It takes only a few notes to recognize the themes from Jaws, Starand Schindler's List. Hear these and more, like Superman, Memoirs of a Geisha  and The Cowboys, as we salute this incredible talent.
