Elizabethtown College Announces Spring Concerts

Elizabethtown College Department of Fine and Performing Arts continues its Monday Concert Series with new and varied performances held in the College's Leffler Chapel and Performance Center. Each concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Justin Badgerow, associate professor of music, and Debra Ronning, lecturer in music and director of keyboard studies entertain with a piano recital Feb. 19. The concert includes piano pieces that require two skilled pianists.

The Africa→West Percussion Trio visits Elizabethtown College March 19 to perform unique and original percussion pieces influenced by African, Afro-Caribbean and Western music. Africa→West demonstrates the influence of the West on the music of Africa and the Caribbean after having studied abroad with master musicians from the cultures.

Trio Caprice, a group recognized regionally and nationally, presents a concert of chamber music April 16 focusing on the first trio of Beethoven's Opus 70: Ghost. Trio Caprice is composed of Elizabethtown professors Sara Male, cello; Stephanie McCullough, violin; and Debra Ronning, piano.

All events are free and open to the public.
