Curtain's Up March 10 On FHS Production Of 'Sister Act' Added by Editor on March 9, 2017. Saved under Featured The Franklin High School vocal music department's production of "Sister Act" will debut at 7:30 p.m. March 10 in the school's theater.

"Sister Act" is based on the hit 1992 eponymous movie, about a lounge singer on the run from her mob boyfriend after she accidentally witness him kill a suspected informant. The singer, Deloris Van Cartier, goes to the police and is put in a witness protection program inside a Philadelphia convent until the mobster can be arrested and stand trial. Initially seen as disruptive, "Sister Mary Clarence" soon endears herself to the other nuns and the Mother Superior. Performances are 7:30 p.m. March 10, 11, 17 and 18, and 2:30 p.m. March 12 and 19.

The vision of Franklin High School is to create a culture of academic rigor and relevance for all, based on the belief that all students can learn and become successful. Students will be provided with educational and social opportunities to demonstrate leadership, scholarship, and service to the community while displaying an appreciation and respect for the diversity that exists in our society.
