Cranford Dramatic Club Holds 95th Season Kickoff Fundraiser, 9/21

Cranford, New Jersey, September 17, 2013--Cranford Dramatic Club ("Little Shop of Horrors," "Dear Edwina") will hold its 95th theater season kickoff fundraiser on Saturday, September 21, at its home theater (78 Winans Avenue, Cranford, New Jersey).

The fundraiser will have live entertainment, wine, beer, cork pulls, tricky trays, silent auction and food donated by local restaurants Garlic Rose, Breadsmith and Cranford Hotel.

The silent auction, in particular, will include items such as destination vacation packages, signed sports memorabilia and spa packages.

Established in 1919, the theater group's mission is to provide quality and affordable theater experience for the community.

Cranford Dramatic Club has been recognized for its achievements in the theater arts by the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters' (NJACT) Perry Awards, garnering 25 nominations for its productions in the past three years: "Music Man," "The Rocky Horror Show" and "Oliver!" among others.

Cranford Dramatic Club's 95th theater season is made up of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken's "Little Shop of Horrors"; Zina Goldrich and Marcy Heisler's "Dear Edwina"; Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's "Spring Awakening" and John Patrick Shanley's "Doubt, A Parable."
