Cabaret Icon Sidney Myer to Headline at Oakeside 6/30
NiCori Studios and Productions in association with Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center has announced a new monthly concert series, "Music at the Mansion", on Sunday, June 30, at 3pm. Performers include Ted Stafford and Lorinda Lisitza, Ami Brabson and Sidney Myer. The featured performer in the "Young Musician Moment" will be Henry Garner.Ted Stafford and Lorinda Lisitza started performing together in their debut show, "The Ted and Lo Show" in 2012 and were thrilled to win the 2013 MAC Award for Best Duo/ Group. Lorinda is from Canada and Ted is from Wisconsin, which is kind of the same, except Ted has always had better access to cheese. She frequently appeared as Mary Pembleton in HOMICIDE: Life on the Streets. Ms. Brabson played Allison Trivas, a recurrring character in THE JURY, another Barry Levinson/Tom Fontana production. Other TV credits include UNFORGETTABLE, LAW & ORDER SVU, DAMAGES, LAW & ORDER, THE BEAT, WONDERLAND and various Soap Operas.
"Music at the Mansion" is a 2013 MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) award nominated series showcasing talented performers from NYC and NJ. The series is hosted by NYC Cabaret singer and Bloomfield resident Corinna Sowers-Adler and features Deborah Martin on piano. This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts and administered by the Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs. Series hostess, Corinna Sowers-Adler, has been nominated as "Best Host of a Variety Show" and "Best Female Vocalist" for the 2012 Broadway World Cabaret Awards.
