Bridge Studio for the Performing Arts to Offer Summer Classes

Now in its third season, Bridge Studio for the Performing Arts today announced its summer class schedule, which begins July 9, 2012. BSPA "caters to all levels of performers from aspiring professionals to beginning novice, and strives to be the bridge to New York City, the home to Broadway, movies and TV. Being in close proximity tony is an advantage to anyOne Dreaming to be a part of the exciting world of entertainment-either behind the scenes or center stage."

Upcoming Summer Classes include: 

Audition Technique: (6wks) Mondays, July 9th to Aug. 13th, 6:30-8:30pm
Young adult to adult, Beginner level class.
Close but no cigar? Is that how it feels when you audition? What do I wear to an audition? How do I approach the audition material? What tricks will help me land the callback for the job? This class is for you. Answer those questions, and more, as you learn the important skill of auditioning.

Gleefully Cabaret: (8wks) Wednesdays, July 11th - Aug. 29th, 6:30-8pm
Do you love Glee? Do you dream of being a part of the Glee Club, singing and dancing to your favorite songs? Come join this class and learn what is like to be a Gleek!

On Camera Commercial Class: (6wks) Mondays, July 9th to Aug. 13th
Young adult to adult, 6:30-8:30pm, All level class
There is an art to acting for commercials and Bridge Studio's own Teddy Coluca, who has performed in hundreds of commercials teaches the important points necessary to auditioning for all kinds of spots. You will learn the proper way to read copy, how to interact with the casting director and the reader, how one should enter and leave the audition room and how to dress for and audition. Don't miss this class! It will definitely help you the next time you audition! Whether you are looking to audition for your first commercial or need to improve your skills, this class may be the one you are looking for.

Broadway Beginnings: A Triple Threat Experience: Mon- Fri, 9-1pm, Aug. 6-17th.
(Encore afternoons offered from 1-3 to those families requiring additional time).
BSPA's "Broadway Beginnings," offers the only theatrical triple threat experience in Bergen County. For two weeks, participating performers will work closely with professionals who will train them in acting, singing and dancing, offering a strong base for any aspiring performer. The two week experience will culminate in an evening performance that whole family can enjoy. Watch out Broadway!
