Luna Stage has announced a partnership with Diversity Youth Theater to offer year round performing arts programming for young artists in the New Jersey and New York area, recognizing the value in their combined arts and educational strengths. The partnership has recently completed a successful summer program, which culminated in a wonderful sold out production where public demand sparked the addition of four additional shows.

The fall, winter, and spring programs are ideal for young performers who are seeking involvement in the performing arts world. The programming will include opportunities for experience in music, movement and acting, in fun and non-competitive programs where young artists will be encouraged to embrace their own unique creative identity.

Luna Stage is a professional theatre and a proud member of The Valley Arts District in West Orange and Orange. In addition to producing critically acclaimed works for the stage and a growing Jazz and Comedy Series, the theatre is committed to education, community outreach, and family programming. It is in this spirit that the company decided to partner with the dynamic theatre education group, Diversity Youth Theater.

Diversity Youth Theater has been offering young artists from New Jersey and New York a creative home for over 7 years. The goal of the company is to bring together young artists of varying backgrounds and guide them through a process of artistic collaboration that leads to the creation and presentation of purpose driven theatre, music, and dance projects. The Diversity Youth Theater arts leadership team is comprised of professional performers that train new talent. With a strong commitment to social advocacy and community upliftment, Diversity Youth Theater nurtures new artists to develop a moral fiber that will carry forth into their art and their lives.

All auditions, classes and performances will be held at Luna Stage 555 Valley Road, West Orange, NJ 07052. (973)395-5551www.lunastage.org.
