Amahl & the Night Visitors is a beloved opera in English by Gian Carlo Menotti that tells the touching story of a poor shepherd boy who meets three kings following a brilliant star. Vibrantly brought to life by the children and adult singers of Franklin Light Opera, this joyful production combines a child’s humor, a mother’s love, and a miracle that changes their lives. Featuring Asher Ward as Amahl on Saturday, Jan. 10 and David Clark on Sunday, Jan. 11. The Mother is played by Shelley Schneider. Caleb Brock, Noah Padgett and Josiah Smith shine as the Three Kings. Completing the cast is a chorus of shepherds and dancers from the Franklin community. Perfect for the Epiphany holiday, Amahl & the Night Visitors is a charming introduction to opera for audiences of all ages! Two free performances are offered on Saturday, January 10 and Sunday, January 11 at 2pm at the Harpeth Hills Church of Christ, 1949 Old Hickory Blvd. Brentwood, TN. Runtime is less than 1 hour.
