Suzy Plays Guitar at Northrop

Minneapolis-based musicians Kelsey Wyrd and Tricia Schweitzer formed Suzy Plays Guitar in 2018. Lead guitarist, Kelsey Wyrd, has a tenacious musical background in piano and electric guitar. Tricia Schweitzer is a signer, songwriter, and painter who elevates Suzy Plays Guitar with her acoustic guitar and sultry voice. Wyrd and Schweitzer co-write every Suzy song. They blend vocal harmonies and sweet guitar melodies in each performance. The group has performed at Twin Cities Pride Festival, Womens Week in Provincetown Massachusetts, Jazzd Tapas Bar in Georgia, and Cedar Valley Pridefest. Suzy Plays Guitars first album was recorded in 2022 at Minnehaha Studios.
