First Stage begins its 2019/20 main stage season with ON THE WINGS OF A MARIPOSA, a lyrical, bilingual play written by Playwright-in-Residence Alvaro Saar Rios. This world premiere production is adapted from the book Ghost Wings by popular Milwaukee author Barbara Joosse, features original music and lyrics by Dinorah Márquez and is a collaboration with Latino Arts Strings Program and United Community Center.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Johnson Financial Group Broadway at the Marcus Center and Broadway Across America-Milwaukee announce that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public Friday, November 1. The Lion King will leap onto the Marcus Center stage on February 5 for a four-week engagement through March 1.

The Marcus Performing Arts Center Announces 50th Anniversary Celebration

The Marcus Performing Arts Center will host Milwaukee's biggest arts celebration on October 30. The 50th Anniversary Celebration will include a block party featuring food and beverage followed by a performance of the smash-hit musical HAMILTON. Producer Jeffrey Seller, Johnson Financial Group Broadway at the Marcus Center and Broadway Across America-Milwaukee announce a digital lottery for HAMILTON tickets will begin in conjunction with the show's first performance (October 22) in Milwaukee at the Marcus Center. Forty (40) tickets will be sold for every performance for $10 each. The digital lottery will open at 11:00 CT on October 20 for tickets to the Tuesday, October 22 performance. Subsequent digital lotteries will begin two days prior to each performance.
