First Stage concludes its 24th season with MISS NELSON IS MISSING!, a musical adaptation of the popular children's book by Harry Allard and James Marshall. MISS NELSON IS MISSING! closes June 5, 2011 at the Todd Wehr Theater in the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, 929 N. Water Street, downtown Milwaukee. Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra Hosts Alumni Weekend

MYSO is proud to announce its 55th anniversary and approaching Alumni Weekend to take place May 27-29, 2011, at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, 325 W. Walnut Street, Milwaukee. Who knew, in 1956, that the Children's Arts Program would grow to become Music For Youth, which would ultimately become the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, by several measures the largest youth orchestra program in the U.S.?! The organization invites any and all alumni from its 55 year history to help celebrate this auspicious milestone! The Alumni Weekend will feature social gatherings, alumni orchestra rehearsals culminating in a performance and a special alumni recital featuring several alums who have chosen to pursue music professionally. In addition, fifty-five years worth of photos, programs, newspaper articles, and other Music For Youth memorabilia will be displayed during the weekend.
