1776 at Arthur Miller Theatre, Walgreen Drama Center

Ann Arbor Civic Theatre presents the Tony Award-winning musical 1776, with book by Peter Stone and music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards, directed by David Kiley with music direction by Daniel Bachelis. The show is a musical exploration of the Second Continental Congress as John Adams, Ben Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson debate the content and wording of the Declaration of Independence in the summer of 1776. The production breaks with traditional casting, featuring actors of all genders, with a cast including John DeMerell, Rick Sperling, Eddie Eichenhorn, Julia Ford, Carrie Brown, and many others. Performances run June 11 through 13 at 7:30pm and June 14 at 2pm.
