WickedGreen Productions to Present TWELFTH NIGHT With An All-Male Cast, 4/23
WickedGreen Productions and Emilio Rodriquez present an exclusive one night only performance of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night in honor of the bard's 450th birthday! Playing at the Michigan Actor's Studio in Ferndale , this version of Shakespeare's classic tale of mistaken identity and tomfoolery will be like none you've ever seen. Comprised of an all male cast ranging from fresh faces to seasoned pros and produced with an air of festivity and celebration, it is an event not to be missed!
The impetus for this production was an inside joke between friends and evolved into an actuality when producer Emilio Rodriguez realized how timeless the idea of sexual identity is, and the question of what defines male/female in today's society has yet to be answered. Twelfth Night is a perfect opportunity to explore the very nature of gender and love, as it has been the basis for hundreds of interpretations and modernizations and we still aren't any closer to knowing what exactly IS male or female.
The cast consists of Bailey Boudreau, Miles Bond, Dick Ward, Brenton Herwat, Emilio Rodriguez, Chad William Baker, Joshua Daniel Palmer, Ryan Ernst, Marcus Laban and Alexander H. Trice. With direction by Emilio Rodriguez, costume design by Bailey Boudreau and set design by Alexander H. Trice, this is truly a company production and speaks directly to Shakespeare's intent while creating an experience befitting of the Facebook era. Celebrate the birth of the bard and find out just what it takes to be a man...or a woman....or both.
Twelfth Night will run on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. only. Tickets are $10 for adults and $4.50 for students.
