Main Street Players presents the first show of their 2019 -2020 season, Lorca: Flamenco y Contemp*rneo by local playwright and director, Silvia De Esteban. The show walks through the most significant works of the great Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca, a magical journey navigating through his characters and stories. His theater, poems, and songs are uniquely intertwined under the aroma of a Spanish guitar and the broken voice of flamenco. Actors with different nationalities and accents will set up a performance that will bring the audience closer to the soul of the acclaimed writer and poet. Humor, surprises, pain, and sorrow converge in a show aimed to keep Lorcas work and passion for the theater alive. This show will be performed entirely in Spanish.
