OTIX-Disneyworld Area Half Price Tickets!
Orlando and the surrounding communities have an extremely active theater scene. This is a welcome addition for folks visiting DisneyWorld, Universal Studios and the other fabulous attractions that make Orlando the number one vacation destination in the world.
Theater buffs will want to take advantage of OTIX, a half-price ticket service similar to those offered in New York, London, and other major theater centers. Located in the Official Orlando Visitors Center at 8723 International Drive, the service sells unsold day-of-performance tickets at half price, plus a service charge that ranges from $1.50 to $5 depending on the face value of the ticket.
This is a specially good deal in the case of higher priced events, and the convenient location of OTIX in the heart of tourist Orlando makes it a convenient way to make entertainment decisions for the evening.
There are many professional theaters and a good number of community theaters. You will find complete listings of the day's theatrical offerings in the Living section of the daily Orlando Sentinel by visiting www.orlandosentinel.com. The "Calendar" section of the Friday Sentinel contains listings for the entire week.
