On Sunday, March 20th 2016, The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) led by Maestro Eduardo Marturet, alongside Stage Director Richard Jay-Alexander and Classical-Crossover Director Rudy Perez, will perform with an awe-inspiring list of artists which include Afro-Cuban ensemble Tiempo Libre, virtuoso pianist-composer Lola Astanova, electric guitarist Brev Sullivan, vocalists Louis Amanti, Haven Star, EnVee, Malena Burke, Victor Valdez, King David, and R&B legend Sam Moore, who will be honored at the concert.

MISO will present "Miami Rocks" at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Knight Concert Hall at 6:00 PM. This impressive collaboration will mark Rudy Perez's debut as Classical-Crossover Director of MISO. *Tickets for "Miami Rocks" can be purchased on the Adrienne Arsht Center website www.arshtcenter.org. The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), presently in its 27th season, is the City of Miami's professional symphony and a key player in Miami's cultural scene. The orchestra is composed of 80 professional musicians from all over the world who jointly, represent the talent and diversity that is a key aspect of South Florida's international melting pot of cultures. MISO is a source of pride and support to the local community during the ever-growing national and world music premieres.

RUDY PEREZ is a Cuban-born American musician, songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, sound engineer, musical director and singer, as well as entertainment entrepreneur and philanthropist, whose area of specialty is ballads.

RICHARD JAY-ALEXANDER celebrates a 40 year career, as both a Director and a Producer, which has taken him all over the world and into every type of theatre, concert hall, recording studio, soundstage and nightclub across the globe, with a spectacular roster of artists. Although his pedigree is Broadway and he began his career as a performer, he has become associated with some of the biggest hits in history, including titles such as LES MISERABLES, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and MISS SAIGON among them. He has also worked with many of the biggest stars in the world, including Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Donny & Marie, Ricky Martin, Johnny Mathis, IL DIVO, Well-Strung, Opera Legend Deborah Voigt, IL VOLO, Russell Watson and Broadway greats Bernadette Peters, Kristin Chenoweth, Betty Buckley, Lea Salonga, Norm Lewis, Brian Stokes Mitchell and many others. Richard makes his home in Miami and is thrilled to have been asked to join MISO, under the baton of Maestro Eduardo Marturet and be a part of Rudy Perez's crossover vision for The Miami Symphony.

TIEMPO LIBRE is known for its powerful live performances and for harmonizing contemporary sonorities and symphonic sounds with seductive Caribbean beats.

SAM MOORE is an American Southern soul and R&B singer, musician, and songwriter, who was the tenor vocalist for the soul vocal duo Sam & Dave, the most successful and critically acclaimed duo in soul music history. Named one of the 100 greatest singers of the rock era by Rolling Stone, Moore is a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and a GRAMMY Award and a multi-Gold Record award-winning recording artist.

LOLA ASTANOVA is loved by millions of fans throughout the world and known for her interpretations of compositions by Chopin, Liszt and Rachmaninoff. Named one of the "Prodigies of the 20th Century" by a UNESCO documentary, Astanova's career began at the age of eight and she has performed in concert halls and venues throughout the world.

BREV SULLIVAN is a top guitarist and recently performed in the film Rock of Ages with Tom Cruise. Sullivan, who is proficient in multiple genres, is the guitarist for Featured On Fridays (FOF), a shred-metal, progressive group whose songs are a tour de force of wildly searing instrumentals.

VICTOR VALDEZ started singing at the age of 11. He always felt attracted to the big American ballads and pop songs, and at the age of 14, he started playing the piano. He won several singing contests in Venezuela, representing his city nationwide in many occasions. In 2013, he participated in a National TV singing contest, "Talentum".

ENVEE is the daughter of a professional singer; she was destined to add her own mark inside her very talented family. Influences from Celia Cruz to Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra to Luciano Pavarotti, are what EnVee's creativity stems from. After graduating high school, she quickly moved to New York where she was accepted by the American Music and Dramatic Academy

HAVEN STAR who made her debut with the Miami Symphony in The Beatles concert in 2014 is a wonderfully talented and passionate young artist. Blessed at an early age with an enchanting voice, this thirteen year old has been singing jazz and blues since she was two.

LOUIS AMANTI is a young, fast-rising, dynamic crooner from South Florida with a repertoire of over 450 standards. In 2014, Louis released his rendition of Nat King Cole's hit "L-O-V-E." on social media. Today, after much acclaim, it is well over the 1 million views on YouTube. Currently, Louis is working on his debut album with none other than Grammy Award winning producer Rudy Perez.

KYNG DAVID quickly garnered success and rose to fame as a teenager with his group BAHA MEN. Selling upwards of 5 Million Albums " Who Let The Dogs Out". Kyng David received a Grammy Award and Billboard Music Awards for Best Dance Recording, Best World Album and Best World Artist most notably.

NATHAN PACHECO is an American singer/songwriter born in Virginia, and is of Brazilian descent. He was a featured vocalist during the 2009 tour for "Yanni Voices", produced by Walt Disney Records.
