In a world of Reality Television: American Idol, America's Got Talent, Intervention, America's Best Dance Crew, College Hill, and the Real World; Darryl Reuben Hall's REALITY CHECK brings together eight soulful strangers who've come together to live in THE HOUSE OF SONG for weeks as cameras follow their every step.
On the path towards living large, between many drinks, eating and gossip, each housemate learns a life lesson about themselves and each other through teamwork, envy, friendship, dislike, love, responsibility, family, and honesty.
The Housemates must learn to work together to raise money and organize a fundraiser for a very important cause. Darryl Reuben Hall's REALITY CHECK will feature the Edward Waters College PURPLE THUNDER and the hit step -team, the FAMU Strikers known across the nation.
The cast includes: Rebecca Morgan, Moira Rossi, Antonio Vizcalya, Michael Wolkowski, Wade Pritchett, Rucha Pathak, Jenny Cernikovsky, Michael Bend, Ishmael Blue, Tonya L. Brown, Pamela S. Mitchell, Joycelyn Petty, Dee Quaranto, Chivon Rivers, Joshua Scarver, Ryan Sinclair, Vanetta Sherrod, Donna Walter, and Elliott Wimes.
Stage Aurora Theatrical Company was founded by Darryl Reuben Hall and has produced DREAMGIRLS, MISS EVERS' BOYS, CROWNS, MAHALIA, Darryl Reuben Hall's FRAT HOUSE, A RAISIN IN THE SUN, and Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.
