Actors' Playhouse will present Dial M for Murder, a gripping thriller adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the original by Frederick Knott. Best known to audiences around the world as the play that inspired Alfred Hitchcock's iconic film of the same title, this masterfully crafted story of deception and desire remains one of the most celebrated mysteries of all time. The production will play May 13 through June 7 in the Dr. Lawrence and Barbara Stein Center for the Performing Arts.

A twisted web of blackmail, passion and revenge begins to unravel when a scheming husband sets out to execute the perfect crime against his unfaithful wife. But when his meticulously crafted plan goes dangerously off course, every move brings new surprises, and no one escapes the consequences. This edge-of-your-seat drama will keep audiences guessing until the very end.

Directed by Actors' Playhouse Artistic Director David Arisco, the killer cast will feature Ben Sandomir (Good Night, Oscar, Maltz Jupiter Theatre) as Tony Wendice, Mallory Newbrough (Hundred Days, Actors' Playhouse) as Margot Wendice, Lindsey Corey (Waitress, Actors' Playhouse) as Maxine Hadley, Daniel Llaca (A Rock Sails By, Actors' Playhouse) as Lesgate and Stephen G. Anthony (Jimmy Buffett's Escape to Margaritaville, Actors' Playhouse) as Inspector Hubbard.

The creative team features Scenic Designer K. April Soroko, Lighting Designer Eric Nelson, Costume Designer Ellis Tillman, Sound Designer Reidar Sorensen, properties by Sam Siegler, Production Manager/Technical Director Carlos Correa, Fight Director Lee Soroko, and Production Stage Manager Naomi Zapata.

Preview performances will take place on Wednesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 14. The production will open on Friday, May 15 and the final performance will take place on Sunday, June 7. Evening performances will be held Wednesday through Saturday at 8 p.m., with matinees on Sundays at 3 p.m. A special weekday matinee will take place on Wednesday, May 20 at 2 p.m.
