The greatest Cuban dance band in the world today, Los Van Van, will tour Europe again in March 2012. With a career spanning nearly 43 years, no wonder that the 16 piece band is nicknamed "the Rolling Stones of Cuban music". Co leaded by original founder member and bassist Juan Formell and his son, drummer Samuel, since 1969 they have produced some of the most influential Latin music of all time, often introducing new rhythms and styles that have set dance floors on fire across the world! Having won many international prices, they were awarded with a Latin Grammy Award for the album "Van Van is Here" (Llegó Van Van) in 2000. Los Van Van are no strangers to playing crowds in their tens of thousands, especially across Latin America where they headline stadiums. Without any doubt the most popular Cuban band is one of world's leading latin and salsa artists. Not to be missed.
