Immerse yourself in a tale of love, loss, and the human spirit in VOPA’s uniquely relevant production of Puccini’s La Boheme. With concept by Dylan F. Thomas, Director Brayden Hade transports us to the bustling streets of New York in 2020, taking a poignant twist as Mimi’s health battle unfolds against the backdrop of Covid-19.
The stage will come alive with extraordinary talent, with award-winning soprano Shira Renee Thomas as Mimi, critically acclaimed tenor Xavier Prado as Rodolfo, and multiple GRAMMY Award-winning baritone Gabriel Manro as Marcello. Rounding out the cast are Agnese Gallenzi as Musetta, Phil Meyer as Colline, Adam McCrory as Shaunard, and Eric Castro in the dual roles of Benoit/Alcindoro.
Enhancing the captivating performance is The VOPA Orchestra, under the masterful baton of Maestro Geoffrey Pope.
