Sounds of Los Angeles County presents a free outdoor concert evening at Ruben F. Salazar Park, a landmark civil rights site in East LA County. Performers include DJ Tony Teklado, DJ Sleepwalk, Maria Soul Sanchez and The Midnight Groove, and MKY. DJ Sleepwalk is a Mexico City-born, Bay Area-raised record collector and member of the Chulita Vinyl Club Los Angeles, while Maria Soul Sanchez channels the golden era of soul and R&B backed by her live band. MKY, also known as Mikey Jimenez, is a Mexican-American singer and multi-instrumentalist who blends classic soul with influences ranging from Ritchie Valens and Luis Miguel to Smokey Robinson.
