We Are All Burning is an original play by Los Angeles-based writer Travers Tobis, set during the height of the Luddite uprising of 1812. The play follows a group of young men returning home from war to find their jobs disappearing, their community unraveling, and their world changing faster than they can understand. As tensions escalate, they are forced to choose between submission, resistance, and survival. The production draws parallels between the Luddite movement and contemporary debates surrounding automation, artificial intelligence, and economic displacement.
