Sleep, awakeness, psychosis, enlightenment, coma. How thin is the veil that separates them? The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble explores some of the many states of human awareness with an evening of short mind excursions by Harold Pinter with Robert Coover and Hermann Hesse. Collectively titled Wakings!, the ensemble examines the manifestation of consciousness in Pinters Victoria Station and A Kind of Alaska; Coovers Rip Awake; and Hesses Siddhartha. April 23 through June 5; Odyssey Theatre, 2055 S. Sepulveda Blvd., West Los Angeles, 90025; $10-$37; (310) 477-2055; OdysseyTheatre.com.
