The Great Clown Bank Show is an immersive circus-theater extravaganza created and directed by Hank Jacobs, featuring original circus music by Stephen Jacobs and songs by Michael Messer with lyrics by Jacobs and Messer. The story follows the rise of the Greedy family, a scheming dynasty of powder-faced hustlers who transform their tiny carnival cashbox into the most powerful clown bank in America, skewering capitalist America with razor-toothed humor. The production features Tambrie Allsup, Davis Barber, Kevin Brennan, Elle Engleman, Matthew Goodrich, Torrin Kelly, and Clara York in lead roles, with aerialist Avery Lynch and a different guest circus performer each week. Presented by Open Fist Theatre Company under artistic director Martha Demson, the show runs approximately 90 minutes and is wildly funny and sharply satirical.
