Sugar Houses is an immersive dance theater piece by Rosanna Gamson/World Wide that offers a haunting reimagining of the classic Hansel and Gretel fairytale. Set to take place on June 28 and 29, 2025, at the Sierra Madre Playhouse, the performance features a cast including Chris Louis as the Father, Clementine Gamson Levy as the Mother, Kayla Johnson as Gretel, and Brance William Souza as Hansel. Combining contemporary dance with theatrical elements, the production uses minimal lighting and hand-drawn sets to evoke themes of abandonment, survival, and human nature in a thought-provoking experience.
