The original Japanese stage production of Studio Ghibli's Oscar-winning animated film Spirited Away opens the 2027/28 Center Theatre Group season at the Ahmanson Theatre in an exclusive US engagement. Adapted for the stage by John Caird and co-adapted by Maoko Imai, the production is presented in the original Japanese with English captions, featuring a live orchestra performing the film score by Joe Hisaishi arranged by Brad Haak. Set design is by Jon Bausor, puppetry by Toby Olié, choreography by Shigehiro Ide, and costumes by Sachiko Nakahara.
